About Us

The Walker County Children’s Advocacy Center (WCCAC) is a local non-profit serving child victims of physical and sexual abuse and neglect. Our mission is to reduce the trauma of child maltreatment by providing a child-oriented environment for the coordination, multidisciplinary investigation, intervention, and treatment of child abuse and neglect victims of Walker County.

Walker County Children’s Advocacy Center has multiple volunteer opportunities for those interested in lending their time and talents to make a difference in the lives of children throughout their healing journey.

Whether it’s through a one-time donation or monthly pledge, your financial support helps Walker County Children’s Advocacy Center sustain our efforts towards helping victims of child abuse in Walker County.

The first step to preventing abuse against children is education. As more parents, professionals, and community members become aware of the realities of child abuse, the effort to combat this serious problem gains strength.

As a concerned citizen, there are multiple ways to anonymously report suspected child abuse. To report suspected child abuse, contact WCCAC or view our resources page for information on local child protective services or law enforcement agencies to share their concerns.
